An alarm clock is located on the bedside table. If you have any difficulties setting the clock, please contact Reception.

Electric current is 240 volts. A.C. Universal adaptors are available on loan from Reception during your stay.

Parking

Each room has a marked space adjacent to it for one vehicle only. Any extra vehicles will need to be parked outside of the property. In fairness to other guest’s visitors must park outside of the property.

Lost and Found

Property other than food items found in the room after guests have left will be held for three months. We recommend checking your room thoroughly prior to departing.

Iron and Ironing Boards

Iron & Ironing Boards are in each room otherwise they are located in the guest laundries located by the passageway by Unit 14 and also next to Unit 49

Tourist Information

Material for most options available in Taupo is displayed in Reception. Reception will be pleased to assist with advice and bookings if required. For further information, contact The Taupo I-site Visitor Centre on Tongariro St this is an excellent facility for advice and assistance, Ph (07) 376 0027.

Pets

Assistant animals are permitted in accommodation areas and on the premises. It is the policy of this property that all other pets unfortunately are not permitted in accommodation or on the premises.

Smoking and Vaping

All units are non-smoking, and smoking is not permitted in any enclosed area at the hotel. An additional cleaning charge will be applied if a unit smells of smoke after guests have departed of $250.00

Electric Blankets and Bedding

For guest comfort all beds are fitted with electric Blankets. Which have settings from 1 (low) to 3 (high). There are additional blankets and pillows in each room. If more are required, please contact Reception dial 0.

Children’s Play area

We have a children’s play area available for use. This has a swing set, playhouse and trampoline for your children to enjoy. This is located in the Catelli’s wing between rooms 39 – 40.

Toiletries available

A range of emergency toiletries including razors, shaving cream, toothbrush, toothpaste, combs and sewing kits are available at reception.

Housekeeping

To request extra towels, or report items missing or not working please contact Reception so we can get this sorted for you as soon as possible.

Payment

We accept all major credit cards: Visa, American Express, Diners, MasterCard, Farmlands, Farmers, China Union Pay and Q Cards Accounts may also be paid in cash.

Newspapers

The Auckland Herald is available from reception 7 days a week. Free copies of the Taupo Times are usually available at Reception.

Discount Cards

Please ensure you present any discount cards or vouchers you may be carrying upon arrival. This will assist us to provide you with your complete entitlements if applicable.

Coffee & Tea Facilities

Coffee & Tea making facilities are provided in all rooms. Should you require additional supplies, please contact reception milk is provided at check in if required.

Gym

We have a small gym for the use of in-house guests only. It is located in the building in the center of the Acapulco wing. Hours from 7.00am till 7.00pm. A key can be obtained from Reception.

Please do not take room towels into the gym.

The trout flies / Naho Naho

They are out and flying in the face of all who live or venture near the lake. Occasionally during summer these midges can be a nuisance when the lights are on and the windows and doors are left open.The midges are harmless and do not bite, but to minimize their entry shut windows when the lights are on in the unit. Please do not leave the lights on all night in the toilet and bathroom areas.

We have smart TVs in all rooms with DVD player. To access the Sky Channel:

We also have a large selection of DVDs at reception for you to borrow.

Operator assisted calls, collect and transfer charge calls must be lodged through Reception.

The closest ATM is located at Praters Supermarket turn right leaving Hotel and travel approx 200m up Rifle Range Road.

Bars & Restaurants

Taupo has a wide range of dining establishments which should suit most tastes and budgets, many located within easy walking distance of the hotel. A small selection of menus are in this compendium otherwise see management at reception where we have a large selection of menus and knowledge of local restaurants to help find something suitable for you.

Cooking & Food Preparation

Where kitchen facilities are provided, we ask for your consideration, in not preparing odorous food in guest rooms, such as fish otherwise additional cleaning charge will be applied of $250.00

Guest Laundry

Self-service laundry. Equipped with coin in slot washing machine and dryer, which require $2.00 coins respectively. Soap powder may be purchased from reception for $1.00. The guest laundry also has an iron and ironing board.

Fire, other Emergencies

A detailed fire escape map is located in the kitchen area of your room. If evacuation is necessary, please proceed quickly and calmly to the car park in front of the Hotel. Fire Alarms are outside rooms 4, 11, 18 and both conference rooms.

Check Out

Check out time is 10:00am on the day of your departure. Should you wish to stay longer, please contact reception and every effort will be made to assist you. Please settle your account the night before if you will be departing early. Please make sure keys are handed in prior to departure, as guests may be charged for missing hotel keys

Spa Pool

Catelli’s wing – A self-fill spa is located in the Catelli’s wing next to room 36.
A key can be obtained from Reception which is available between reception hours. Please do not take room towels into the spa room. For safety reasons, the consumption of alcohol and/or taking glass items or cans into the spa is strictly forbidden at all times.

Visitors

ouseguests are welcome to invite visitors to their rooms, however out of consideration for other guests we ask that noise be kept to a minimum, and in any case visitors must depart from the hotel no later them 8.30 PM.

Visitors have parking available out front of the Acapulco wing.

Daily Room Service

Please note your room is serviced daily if you require clean towels, please put your used towels in the shower/bathtub. We do not do your dishes on a service. If you would not like a service please let reception know.

Loss and Damage

Guests will be held responsible for any loss or damage to room furnishings and fixtures, arising from their stay. Quality Inn Acapulco and its agents accept no responsibility whatsoever for damage to or the loss of any guest or visitor belongings including motor vehicles and contents. Guests are reminded that Safe deposit facilities are available at reception.

BBQ

We have BBQ’s available for guest use. These are located in the center courtyard, Acapulco wing courtyard or beside room 36 and between rooms 39 and 40.

Please clean BBQ and area after each use.
Please supervise children around the hot grill.
Please make sure all knobs are in the off position and the gas is turned off before leaving.
Please be courteous with your time if others are waiting to use.

Breakfast Restaurant Catelli’s Room

Breakfast is available in the Catelli’s Room Monday to Sunday 6.45am to 9.15am. For a full cooked buffet breakfast. The adult price is $24,
cooked buffet breakfast is $22
and continental buffet breakfast is $17.

Noise Policy

There will be no gatherings or excessive noise tolerated either in the rooms or anywhere on the property from 8.30pm onwards. Complaints will be handled in the following manner:

Upon the first noise complaint, we will issue a warning to the registered guest and everyone except the registered guest will be required to leave the room/premises.

In the event of subsequent complaints, or refusal to comply with the above request, management has the right to either call the police or request the registered guest to leave the hotel with no refund.
